Nature on The Farm

wll lecture

Dr. Tuttle’s book The World Peace Diet describes in detail:

  • The fascinating interconnections between food and the five dimensions of health: physical, psychological, spiritual, cultural, and environmental

  • How the ramifications of the herding culture and the domination of animals affect us and our society at multiple levels, and how to transform these effects

  • Why ending war and entering an era of true peace will be possible when we recognize and honor the innate intelligence and sentience of our fellow creatures

  • Ways that spiritual awakening liberates the inner feminine wisdom within, so that our relationships become more intuitive and fulfilling, and joy and radiant health flow in our lives.

As we take control of our diet to heal humanity, it becomes even more essential that we take charge of connecting to our food at its source...in the garden.

Conference host Douglas Stevenson will demonstrate how to take control of your diet and prepare for the future now by growing your own food, including protein and grain as well as a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. A Farm Community member since 1973, he will also be one of the instructors for the vegan cooking class, introducing you to some of the community's favorite recipes. The Journey
The Journey by Madeleine Tuttle

This will also be a spiritual retreat to help us strengthen our inner center. Dr. Tuttle's insights include:

  • How to meditate more naturally
  • The value of practicing true mindfulness
  • Tools for hearing more clearly the "still, small voice"
  • Ways to unleash the power of imagination
  • How to live in the present and enjoy the richness of every moment
  • An ancient secret for awakening the love, compassion, joy, and peace within
  • The foundation of a new society based on the truth of the interconnectedness of all life.
  • Acknowledging the invisible connections between our culture, our food, and the source of our broad range of problems — and the way to a positive transformation in our individual and collective lives.

"Reading The World Peace Diet is only a first step toward harmonizing one’s diet and life activities with natural order. In order to become more fully energized, it is helpful to listen to the author explain these concepts in detail, and to interact and fellowship with others who understand the vegan imperative." – P.M., World Peace Diet Facilitator

"I think that vegans are so much on the edge of a new paradigm that they feel isolated which leads to frustration and a sense of being overwhelmed. It was both wonderful and epic to realize that vegans from all over were communicating and exchanging ideas."
Joan N., World Peace Diet Facilitator

About Our Facilities
Campers are clustered at the edge of the woods adjacent to my retreat center. The retreat center provides access to a bathroom with flush toilet and shower. There is a small kitchen with a refrigerator for your use. The kitchen area also features a large, bright seating area/hang out space. The retreat center is also the location of dorm accommodations. and the parking area for RV's.

The retreat center is just a few hundred yards from my home, a large log cabin, which will be the gathering place for meals and meetings on Friday as well as Sunday morning. Another shower is available here for guests as well.

A dining room and large outside deck provides adequate seating for meals. Guests are also welcome to use this kitchen for tea and coffee in the mornings and the living room space during any free time or period of relaxation.

A coy pond with a waterfall in the home garden is a nice tranquil space to sit and enjoy the sun and shade.
